Membership in the HCCVB

Humboldt County's official destination marketing organization

Our mission is to market Humboldt County's natural beauty, arts and history as a vacation destination.

We represent all businesses, agencies and individuals who have an interest in our region’s success as a tourist destination. Funded by the city of Eureka and other municipalities, by the county, by membership dues and by program revenues, our nonprofit bureau works actively to attract individual travelers, group tours, meetings and conventions. Our objectives are to increase overnight stays and visitor spending, support jobs and contribute to the local economy.

Our advertising, website, publications and other marketing efforts are directed at:

  • Visitors who are actively planning a trip to the Redwood Coast.
  • Tourists who are on the road in Northern California, looking for things to see & do.
  • Visitors who are already in Humboldt and looking for activities, attractions, lodging, dining, shopping, services and reasons to Stay Another Day.
  • Our advertising includes regional advertising, intensive website traffic building, marketing partnerships and promotions, trade shows, outreach to group and meeting travel professionals, and proactive communication with and services for travel journalists worldwide.
