The Park Information Center is located just south of Orick, off highway 101.
Orick is the southern Gateway to the Redwood National & State Parks and the northern gateway to Humboldt Lagoons State Park, nestled near the mouth of Redwood Creek and surrounded by Redwood National and State Parks.
Here you can stop at one of our roadside shops along the way for redwood gifts, carvings and furniture: Burl Bill's, C.R. Carvings, California Native Woods, Essence of Humboldt, Jackson's Barrel Farm, Creative Woodworks, the Curiosity Shoppe, Originals by Us, and Duncan's Wood.
Take a snack or meal break at the Palm Cafe & Motel, Hawg Wild - beer, wine and food or La Hacienda for Mexican - beer, wine & expresso coffee.
Go on an adventure: Kayaking with Kayak Zak's, Horseback riding tours with Redwood Outfitters.
Visit, hike, camp or picnic In the redwoods - Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, a partner in the Redwoods State and National Park System, maintains hiking trails of varying degree of difficulty, ranging from short and flat to long, with winding hills or sharp climbs and descents, to accommodate the preferences of visitors.
