The museum showcases this splendid Victorian heritage and history of Ferndale with exhibits and collections including artifacts, tools, furniture, an operating seismograph, a telephone switchboard, working crank phones, farm and logging equipment, a barber shop and a complete blacksmith shop.
The museum also features a gift shop where visitors can purchase historical books, photos, bags, magnets and patches, all related to Ferndale.
Another slice of small town history can be experienced at Golden Gait Mercantile. Upstairs there’s a museum of Victorian-era household goods, while downstairs is a genuine emporium of vintage and reproduction products of the past available for sale.
