Drive through a redwood tree.

There are three "Drive-Through" Trees located on the North Coast. All are privately owned and a fee is charged to drive through. The closest one to Humboldt Redwoods State Park is the Shrine Drive-Thru Tree in Myers Flat, four miles south of the park visitor's center.

The Trees and Their Locations Heading North:

Chandelier Tree:  This redwood gets its name from it unique limb structure.  The tree resembles an ornate chandelier.  The drive-through tree park is open from 8am to dusk year round and offers a gift shop, picnic area, and nature walks in the forest.  To reach the park:  take the Leggett exit where Hwy 101 junctions with Hwy1, after exiting the freeway turn south immediately onto frontage rd and watch for signs to park.  Address: 67402 Drive Thru Tree Road -  707-925-6363 More Info:

Klamath Tour Thru Tree: Klamath (Terwer Valley exit from Highway 101) Located North of Klamath Bridge.   Address: 430 Highway 169, Klamath, CA 95548 -  707 482 5971 or contact the Klamath Chamber of Commerce


The tree with a highway running through it was located in Yosemite National Park. It was a Giant Sequoia and it fell in 1969.
