Trinidad State Beach

Just another day at the beach in the magical town of Trinidad

Trinidad State Beach is a long stretch of sandy beach just north of the Trinidad Harbor and pier. With easy access and plenty of parking, this pet friendly beach is a great spot to stop and stretch your legs. Warning, you will want to stay longer to take it all in. MAP     Hike the Trinidad Head for incredible views of the ocean. Trailhead is at the south end of parking lot.  South of the pier and Trinidad Head, is Indian Beach. A good spot for tidepooling and kayaking.

College Cove, the northernmost section of this state beach, is a popular beach with sheltered waters that are safe to enter under the right conditions. College Cove also has fascinating rocks and tidepools to explore. It is a short hike through the woods, across open bluffs, and past seasonal wildflowers down to the beach. There is a natural arch near the north end of the beach. Low tide is the best time to visit. The park offers rest rooms, picnic area, parking area, trails, an open grassy area and spruce forest. The 1/2 mile trail to the beach drops 120 feet.

Directions to College Cove: Take the Trinidad exit into town, then turn right onto Stagecoach Road in approx. 1/4 mile. Follow about 1/2 mile to the parking area on your left.
