Garberville is Humboldt County's gateway to the southern entrance of the famous Avenue of the Giants, and mere minutes from the grandeur of Humboldt Redwoods State park. Just a few miles south are Richardson Grove State Park and Benbow Lake State Recreation Area.
AVENUE OF THE GIANTS
The Avenue of the Giants, a 31-mile section of highway paralleling Hwy 101, courses through Humboldt Redwoods State Park, a 53,000 acre preserve, with hiking, camping, and fishing and a great visitors/interpretive center located in Weott - (707) 946-2263. This scenic drive offers plenty of pull off spots for hikes in the groves and gift shops. Drive through a redwood tree.
Drive thru a redwood tree on the Avenue of the Giants. The Shrine Drive-Thru Tree is located on the Avenue of the Giants in Myers Flat , and so is Riverbend Cellars vineyards and wine shop - open for tastings.
